State Farm® Insurance Agent Tom Clark

"I went to this office May 29th to purchase a none owner policy. Everything seemed smooth and going as expected. I completed my application and made my 1st payment. I was told it would take up to 10 business days to process my application. I thought that was a strangely long amount of time due to recent experiences with insurance applications that took less than 48 hours but I dealt with it because I had the binder for proof of insurance. I reached out the week of June 19th and was told my application was still being processed. By this point it had been 14 business days, we'll over the UP TO of 10. The following week I started receiving emails and texts about my upcoming policy payment. Of course my 1st thought is how is my application still processing but it's about to be 30 days and I'm about to be charged for a policy payment. I contact Tom Clark State Farm and informed them that if my application is still being processed that I shouldn't be charged until we get to the bottom of the application still processing. They call me back and left a voicemail on June 29th asking me to give them a call. I call them and they tell me my application was declined. The policy payment was still auto drafted from my account on the 30th. I came into the office Monday after the 4th and spoke to the agent who did my application. She was back from her St Lucia vacation. The purpose of my visit was to discuss when I would be refunded for the application and 1st policy payment. She got on the phone spoke to someone, verified my info, and stated it would take 3 business days to go back to the card I used for the policy set up. So by Friday the 10th of July or Monday the 13th. Today is July 24th and guess what? I still haven't been refunded. But you know what I am still receiving mail and notifications from State Farm AS IF my application was NOT denied. In fact I'm taking time out that I don't have right now to write this review because I received an email about my upcoming charge on July 29th. Hopefully someone at Tom Clark sees this and resolves it. I'm in the middle of a 60+ hour work week and don't have time to chase them on a process that they have failed at every point.

Received another text about my upcoming payment as I was typing this so I decided to come back and add it. Smh ridiculously frustrating. Mind you at every step of this process I've always had to push for effective communication and timeliness so at this point I have zero confidence that picking up the phone or going to the office will resolve the issue. So this is my last public resort."

"I wouldn't recommend this agent to my worst enemy!! I've been with State Farm for almost an year and it's taking almost 6 months for them to decide to call the main supplier about receiving my beacon drive and safe to supposedly save customers money. This is total BS bc I've called every month to request it and never received it and yet being charged extra bc Tom had dropped the ball by NOT following up with the supplier to see if it and been mailed and making sure things are getting done but he wants to pass the blame to his employees October and Brandy!!! This is a sorry excuse of an agent to rip people off thru a company like State Farm and to not take responsibility for his actions and taking care of customers. This will make the 2nd agent I've dealt with bc they wouldn't return our calls when we needed answers about our policy.
I'm looking for insurance else where. When Tom called me back he was very short and very unconcerned. I will be reporting him."
